About Owner and Masterboiler Dan Peterson

Dan Peterson grew up in Baileys Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. He learned the restaurant trade at a young age helping his parents with The Panter Hotel, a Baileys Harbor landmark. Throughout the years, Dan worked in the Door County restaurant and tourism industry, purchasing the Viking Grill in Ellison Bay in 1984.

Seventeen years later, the Viking Grill is a destination restaurant on the Door peninsula. Serving all year long and featuring their famous Viking Fish Boil, April through October. The Viking Grill can accomodate groups and events - all reason, all seasons - and our fish boil catering service has traveled throughout the United States.
